Biography -- Christine A. Vetere-Wilson

Christine began her career in the insurance industry in June 1990, following graduation from Saint John’s University with a BS in Marketing. She began working with US Healthcare as an account manager, servicing and selling to accounts in the Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island markets. Eventually, Christine worked with Key Accounts in the New York and Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk) markets. In 1994, Christine became the Sales Training Manager for the Northeast Region of US Healthcare, training sales and service staff on skills, industry knowledge of other special programs. Additionally, she held responsibilities of Sales Manager for the Medicare unit, as well as Large Commercial Business.

Upon the Aetna US Healthcare merger in 1996, Christine was promoted to National Director of Sales Training, leading a staff of 26 Sales Training Managers across the country. Her crucial role included training sales and service personnel on integration Aetna and USHC, as well as product training, motivational sessions, competitive analysis and industry knowledge. In 1999, she resumed her career in New York City with Aetna, as a District Manager of Sales and Service for Manhattan Large and Small Group business, managing a staff of managers and teams assigned to New York based clients.

In 2000, Christine began working in the broker and general agent side of the insurance business, consulting for and advising key account clients (300+ employees) across the country. With a full staff, she was responsible for sales, plan implementation and servicing of ASO, Minimum Premium, and Fully Insured clients in the large group market.

In 2002, Christine returned to the New York and Long Island Markets, as a Director of Sales for HIP / Vytra Health Plans, responsible for new business generation in the large and small group segment. She re-established her roots in the New York market, and launched a consultative/advisory business, Wilson Benefit Management Associates, Inc.

Today, Christine continues to serve as an objective employee benefits advisor and consultant in the New York area.
